My Nintendo Dual Screen Lite

The Nintendo Dual Screen Lite (NDS Lite) was first launched in Japan in 2006 as an update of the previous DS which looks a bit bulky and childish when compared to PSP from Sony. Up to now, the sales figure of DS Lite has shown its bright future. I remember that once Nintendo announced the DS system, it promised the fans of Game Boy Advance that the GBA development would not cease. However, the bad sign arose and over time the GBA has been swallowed gradually by the new successor from Nintendo. This can also be seen from a lot of software which have been ported from GBA and now have moved to NDS permanently like Ace Attorney, etc.

I have always dreamed about having one DS on my own as I also heard about its creative game play which you cannot find from its big opponent, PSP. Personally, I think Sony loses its turn again Nintendo in the portable player fight. This is not only due to the lower sale figures but also the fact that players sometimes want creativity in game play and new control system which can attract them to play a game for some time not exactly the high performance hardware. Also, the screen of portable console is so small that players do not see much difference of high-end graphics. This point is also true with the PS3 which seems to be aggressively attacked by XBOX360 from Microsoft, which is a less powerful system than PS3 but grabs the right time with the right price to come out in the market. I really admire Microsoft in planning strategies to tackle with Sony's PS. After XBOX lost the first round to the PS2, Microsoft suddenly decided to give up on XBOX and turned to a newer and fresher XBOX360. This situation pushed Sony as a leader in the video game consoles at that time to launch a new system as well. Thus, the end of PS2 came and the birth of PS3 has started.

I don't know why it turns out to be a critic on Sony VS Microsoft. Anyway, I just wanna thank my friends; Rose, Ruoqian, Saurabh, Ashish, Prannoy, Ranjith, and Mengmeng for giving me this DS Lite. Next time, I will review some games I have bought. Up to now, I have 4 games; Mario Party, Zelda, Bleach and Naruto. My favorite one is Zelda and of course, it is the most creative and entertaining RPG game I have played this year.

P.S. I also own a PS and a PS2 (both are in Thailand) and still wait for the right time to purchase a next-gen console. Actually, I am more into a PS3 as a lot of my favorite games are only exclusively made for a PS3 but firstly, I must buy an HD-support TV. Hahaha
